There are three different types of crafts in Wind Slayer: Composition, Forging and Reinforcing.
Each can create valuable items for any player. All crafts require specific materials, and Reinforcing requires materials only available through Composition. All crafting is done at one of three Crafting Stations, available in all major cities. Be sure to have your Mining and Gathering skills ready!
Learning A Crafting Skill
To learn a crafting skill, visit Johabriner the Crafting Master.
An experienced tradesman, he is eager to share his knowledge with you. Johabriner spends time in every city and can be found next to each of the three available crafting stations.
The Three Crafting Skills
- Creates consumables like potions and materials needed for Reinforcing, such as Elestones.
You must be level 5 or higher to learn Composition.
Requires 100 gold to learn.
- Creates powerful weapons and gear for any class, including swords, shields and wands.
You must be level 6 or higher to learn Forging.
Requires 100 gold to learn.
- Makes equipment more powerful by adding stats. You must be level 7 or higher to learn Reinforcing. Requires Composition, Forging and completion of the "Let’s Learn the Reinforce Skill" quest from Leon in Popola.
Creating Your First Item
- 1) Stand next to the Composition Station in any city (see above) and press the space bar or left click the station. A window appears showing a list of items you can create on the left and required ingredients on the right.
- 2) Let’s start by making an Elestone (Regular). Elestones are an essential ingredient for enhancing your gear.
It takes 10 Eledusts to create one Regular Elestone. Remember, Eledust only comes from mining.
If you need help with mining or gathering, see the Gathering and Mining Guide. For new crafters, the chance of successfully creating an Elestone is 70%. If you fail, you will lose your 10 Eledusts and not receive an Elestone.
- 3) Look through the different crafting stations and find items that are of interest to you.

Don’t forget to continue gathering and mining as you level up and obtain more gold. Good luck and happy adventuring!
You may raise your chance of success when crafting by purchasing higher levels of Composition and Forging from Johabriner. But there is a level limit to each skill level of a craft. For example, the skill level 5 of Composition requires 980 gold and level 19 or higher.
If you were unable to complete the quest and did not acquire one of the essential skills, talk to the NPC Duinuke in Amakusa. You will be able to obtain the skills for a price.
